Programs > Super Summer Session
St. Luke’s School offers as a courtesy to parents of students presently enrolled in the regular school session and to parents of students enrolled for the new fall semester a summer program for students from age three through 3rd grade.
The SSS (Super Summer Session) is an extension of the regular ASEP (After School Enrichment Program). It is a structured program, which focuses on developing new skills while maintaining the skills learned in the regular school session. Activities include learning centers, music, crafts, science, circle time, outside activities and field trips. Other activities include the ACT program (Academic Continuance Time), which is a daily tutoring session for students from Kindergarten through 3rd grades for the purpose of maintaining and building upon academic skills. Cogitation Time is a special time that encourages children’s thinking skills and nurtures children’s explorations and ideas. These ideas include the concepts of number patterns, measurement, shapes, space, and classification. DEAR program (Drop Everything and Read) encourages children’s reading. Socialization is also a high priority during the SSS. Enrichment classes such as art and creative movement are also available during the SSS.
