The Christian tradition is the foundation upon which many schools and the After School Enrichment Program build their educational philosophy. Academic excellence is a paramount element in “training a child in the way he should go.” Additionally, the School recognizes that learning how to learn is as important for today’s society as knowing what to learn because growing up in the information age and the complexities of life demand that every person is knowledgeable, productive, self-reliant and responsible for his own actions.
The school’s education program is grounded in tradition, yet it remains flexible and adaptive to individual needs. The School helps each student develop the ability to understand, to analyze, to question, to think creatively and critically, and to communicate effectively both orally and through the written word. The curriculum is constantly updated to meet the demands of the changing world and to meet and surpass the standards set by the state’s educational entity, the Texas Education Agency.
It was stated that the school's goal is to enhance each student’s spiritual and intellectual growth. Inherent in the educational process is the obligation to promote the development of positive attitudes and habits and to build sound, sensitive, and healthy individuals who will be productive citizens in the community.
